Marketing The target customer base for many consumer durables and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is large. The price of food products , soaps and FMCG is usually low, so these products are often purchased on an impulse. So marketing these products through the mass media like television and newspapers is often effective.
However, there are certain products which have a small user base. Many of these users will be happy to purchase the product if they are aware of its existence and availability. Micromarketing involves reaching the small group of buyers for these products.
